Ingredients :

  •    Sushi rice /   White Rice : 2 Cup
  •   Water : 2 1/2 Cup
  •   Rice Vinegar : 1/4 Cup
  •   Sugar : 2 Tablespoon
  •   Salt : 1 Teaspoon
  •   Nori : 5 sheets
  •    raw or smoked /   Salmon Fillet : 200 g
  •   Cucamber : 1 Piece
  •   Avocado : 1 Piece
  •   Bell Pepper : 1 Piece
  •   Cream Cheese : 100 g
  •    Omeletted /   Chicken Egg : 2 Piece
  •   Sesame Seeds : 2 Tablespoon
  •   Mayonnaise : to taste

Recipe :

For 4 people (approximately 20 sushi rolls)


Step 1: Prepare the Sushi Rice

  • Rinse the sushi rice several times to remove excess starch.
  • Cook the rice with the specified amount of water and let it steam for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then gently heat until dissolved.
  • Add this mixture to the cooked rice and gently mix it until cooled.

Step 2: Prepare the Sushi Rolls

  • Place a sheet of nori (seaweed) on a bamboo mat (makisu).
  • Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori (wet your hands to prevent rice from sticking).
  • Place thin slices of salmon or tuna, cucumber, avocado, and bell pepper or carrot in the middle of the rice.
  • If making California rolls, flip the nori sheet so the rice is on the outside and the filling is inside.

Step 3: Roll the Sushi

  • Use the bamboo mat to carefully roll the sushi, applying gentle pressure to secure the roll.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 6-8 pieces, wetting the knife to prevent sticking.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on the sushi rolls and drizzle with mayonnaise or spicy Japanese sauce.
  • Serve with pickled ginger, rolled cucumber, or soy sauce on the side.
