  •   Tomato : 2 Piece
  •   Onion : 1 Piece
  •   Garlic : 3 clove
  •   Chili Pepper : 2 Piece
  •   Ghee : 2 Tablespoon
  •    Yolk /   Chicken Egg : 1 Piece

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  • In a large bowl, add dry yeast and sugar.
  • Pour in warm water, mix it, and let it sit for about 10 minutes to activate.
  • Once the yeast has bubbled up, add vegetable oil and whisk with a whisk.
  • Gradually add 2 cups of flour and salt, then start kneading.
  • Add the remaining 1 cup of flour gradually, kneading until you get a dough that doesn’t stick to your hands. Knead for about 5 minutes.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  • Finely chop the onion, tomatoes, and peppers. Mix them with minced meat.
  • Grate the garlic, add oil and water, then mix in the spices. Your filling is ready.

Step 3: Shape the Dough

  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down, knead lightly on a flat surface, then roll it into a log and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a ball, then use a rolling pin to stretch it out into a long oval, about the size of your baking tray.

Step 4: Assemble the Pide

  • Grease and flour a baking tray. Place the dough pieces on the tray and distribute the prepared filling evenly on top.
  • Fold the edges to close them and press them firmly to avoid them opening while baking.
  • Whisk egg yolk with oil and brush the edges of the pide.
